William Nealous
Founder & CEO
Yolo & Company, Inc
YOLO Steppers was founded on the thought, "You Only Live Once", in March 2014, as much as it is an adage, the reality is we only have one life to live, so why not make the best of it and live it to its fullness.
After much consideration our founder William Nealous realized it was time for a change. William wanted to make everyone feel they were not just a number in class but was part of a family that cares.
Our founder believes that Chicago Style-Stepping isn't just a dance but it is a lifestyle where you spend a big portion of your time learning, dancing and having fun with likeminded people.
William competed in his first contest in January 2012, again in March 2012 and took second place in the World Largest Steppin Contest in Chicago in September 2012.
William went on to win several contest in Atlanta.
Yolo Steppers host a party every 2nd Saturday.

Dwain Perkins
Founder & CEO
Chicago Steppers In Atlanta
I was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, I went to my first set in 1972, at that time I was a sophomore in high school and I stayed on the sets to about 1977. During the time when I was on the sets I had the opportunity to go to places like the Sunset Ballroom, Concept Ballroom, Ridgeland Club, Ramada Inn, IIT, Circle Campus and a number of other places. During my experience we would always dress up and call them sets. I was introduced to a set in Atlanta by Don Vic out of Chicago, where I met at a first Friday set at the Allure Ballroom.
I gave my first set in April of 2012 with the help of others, I won’t take all the credit still today I love the original music from my early experience and a steppers sharp Attire. You will get that at every first Friday set. Also, I will say that I am glad to be a part of this 1st Annual Spring Anniversary Jam.
